Newark---Rosalie P. Dobbelaere, 91, died Saturday (February 23, 2008) at the Geneva Living Center South.

Friends may call on Tuesday (February 26th) from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services will be at 10 AM on Wednesday (February 27th ) at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dobbelaere was born on June 27, 1916 in Newark, the daughter of John and Amelia DePauw Parys. For many years, she was a secretary at C.H. Stuart, Inc. in Newark. She retired from the Gleason Works in Rochester in 1982 where she had been a private secretary. In her retirement, Rosalie was a part time receptionist at the Wayne County Nursing Home over for fifteen years. She had been a member of St. Michael's Church for many years and had been active until recently. She was a member of the Newark-Arcadia Historical Society.

She is survived by two daughters Bonita "Bunny" Sovereign of Newark, Patricia Speed of West Hampton Beach, NY and four grandchildren Laura Casey, Trina Weiss, Tracy Zollweg and Kimet Speed-Hipp, two great grandchildren Briana and Ryan, two nieces Evie Johnson and Mary Jane Burke and several cousins. Rosalie was predeceased by siblings Frank Parys and Margaret Murphy.
