Newark"Sally S. DeBarr, 75, of Washington Street died Friday (January 7, 2005) at Rochester General Hospital.

Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. on Monday (Jan. 10th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral Services for Sally will be at 11 A.M. on Tuesday (Jan. 11th) at the Funeral Home with Father Peter Clifford officiating. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Mrs. DeBarr was born April 6, 1929, in Clyde the daughter of Salvadore and Neva Slade DeRenzo. She was a 1948 graduated of Newark High School and a 1954 graduate of Central City Business Institute in Syracuse. From 1959 "1965, Sally had been a legal secretary for Attorneys Maurice Strobridge and Thomas Biddle. From 1965 until her retirement in 1992, she was an Executive Secretary at Mobil Chemical. Sally had been Chairman of the Wayne County Republican Committee and had worked on the committee for many years. In her retirement, Sally was active with the Wayne County Historical Society in Lyons and the Lighthouse Museum in Sodus Point.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law Valerie (Pack) and William F. Kubera of Cicero, three grandchildren Peter, Kimberly, and Kristen. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald in 2004, her father Salvadore DeRenzo, her mother Neva Slade Ross and her stepfather Charles Ross.
