Newark"Shirley J. Robinson, 80, Madison Street, died Saturday (November 6, 2004) at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Memorials in her name may be made to a favorite charity of one's choice.

Mrs. Robinson was born in Newark on July 22, 1924, the daughter of Howard and Gertrude Burgess Dailey. For many years, she was a clerk at the Ring Box in Newark. Shirley was a member of the Park Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two sons Michael (Carol) of Chili and Steven (Brenda) of Newark, a daughter Christy Robinson of St. Petersburg, Fl., five grandchildren and three great grand children; two sisters Patricia (Russell) Tripoli of Chili, Marlene (Frederick) Campbell of Clarks Summit, Pa., several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Clifford "Scoop" on August 28, 2004, a son Kevin in 1976 and a brother Edwin Daily.

The Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home is serving the family.
