Irondequoit—Stanley M. Bojara, 87, died Sunday (March 4, 2018) at the Fairport Baptist Home.

Friends may call on Wednesday (March 7^th) from 4 – 7 PM at the Paul W. Harris Funeral Home, 570 Kings Hwy S, Rochester, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, (March 8^th) at 11:00 AM at St. Kateri at Christ the King Church, 445 Kings Hwy S. Rochester, NY. Burial will be in Irondequoit Cemetery.

Memorials, in his name, may be made to the Fairport Baptist Home, 4646 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd., Fairport, NY 14450 or to Lifetime Care, 3111 S. Winton Rd., Rochester, NY 14623.

Stanley was born in Rochester, the son of the late Stanley and Louise Beretta Bojara. He was a graduate of the Aquinas Institute. For 32 years, Stan worked as a Research Technician for Eastman Kodak, retiring in 1986. Stan kept active in retirement bowling, golfing and playing cards. He and his wife loved playing Bocce. He had been a member of the Polish American Club. Mr. Bojara volunteered at the St. Andrews Food Cupboard for over 20 years. Most of all Stan loved his family.

He is survived by his wife Joanne Riedel Bojara; three children Christopher (Kim) Bojara of Anywhere, USA, Michael (Carri) Bojara of Cary, NC and Anne Marie (Stephen) Strobridge of Fairport; three grandchildren Chase Bojara, Samantha and Adam Strobridge; a sister Frances (Bernard) Kasper of Greece; many nieces and nephews. Stanley was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
