Newark—Sylvester W. House, Jr, 53, died Thursday (June 18, 2015) at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 P.M. on Sunday (June 21^st) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 4P.M..

Mr. House was born on April 8, 1962 in Auburn, the son of Sylvester and Sharon Lagabed House, Sr.. He was graduate of Red Creek High School in 1981. Sonny continued to take electrical courses at BOCES in Flint before joining the US Navy. He was a hard working man, working for several companies in the area.

Sonny was a loving husband, father and son. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Ann (Gary); daughter Ashley House of Rochester, stepson Aaron Elliott of Newark, his father Sylvester (Nancy Carr) House, Sr., of Wolcott, brothers Rodney House of Red Creek, Dale (Veronica) House of Alton and Joseph (Tammy) House of Sodus; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a good friend Cindy Freeland.
