Terry D. “Pepper” Russell
Newark—Pepper Russell, 68, died Thursday May 26, 2011 at his home.
Friends may call on Monday (May 30th) from 2-4 P.M. at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark.
Memorial contributions may be made, in his name, to the Fairville Presbyterian Food Bank, Rt. 88 North, Newark, New York 14513.
Mr. Russell was born August 17, 1942 in Rochester, the son of the late James and Doris Doe Russell. He graduated from Newark High School in 1960. He then enlisted in the US Navy where he was a radio operator aboard ship. Pepper was an ironworker and a member of Iron Works Local 33 in Rochester. A member of the August Mauer Post American Legion, he was a founding member of the Blackjack Motorcycle Club. He was an avid gardener, animal lover and gun collector. As a member of the NRA, Pepper was passionate about our second amendment rights.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karen; two children Jack Bruce Russell of Newark and Tammy I. Russell of Blacksburg, VA.; siblings Donna Lynn Mc Donald, Jack Bruce Russell and Doreen Porzi; nieces and nephews. Pepper was predeceased by several siblings.
