Newark"Thelma Warner, 90, died Saturday (March 1, 2008) at the Clifton Springs Nursing Home.

Friends may call Tuesday (March 5th) from 3 to 6 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. A funeral service for Thelma will be on Wednesday (March 6th) at 1 PM at the East Newark Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Clifton Springs Nursing Home, Activities Department, 2 Coulter Rd. Clifton Springs, NY 14432.

Mrs. Warner was born in Newark on July 12, 1917 the daughter of Edward and Sadie Vandermill Roemer. She graduated from Newark High School. Thelma had worked as a secretary for the C.H. Stuart Company and the Ely and Leene Insurance Agency until she retired in 1979. For over fifty years she was a member at Park Presbyterian Church in Newark.

She is survived by her daughter Mary Warner of Clifton Springs, NY and several nieces and nephews. Thelma was predeceased by her husband Gordon on March 4, 1995, her brothers Elmer, John and Joseph Roemer.
