Newark—Thomas W. Mc Manus, 62, died Friday (March 25, 2011) at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

          Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Sunday (March 27^th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Monday (March 28^th) at St. Michael’s Church, South Main Street, Newark.  Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

          Memorials in his name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 160 Allens Creek Road, Rochester, New York 14618 or to a charity of your choice.

          Mr. Mc Manus was born June 15, 1948 in Rochester, the son of the late William and Violet “Pete” Bater McManus.  He was a 1967 graduate of R.L. Thomas High School in Webster and had attended Monroe Community College.  Tom had worked for Rochester Davis-Fetch and the Northrup Supply Corp. in Rochester and the past eight years for Doebler Realty in Newark.  He was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church.

          He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Michele Cote Mc Manus, his children  Kevin (Tara) of Binghamton , Adam (fiancée Amanda Hulett) of Rochester, Margaret of Rochester and Ryan of Newark; two grandchildren Emily and Keirnan; a brother Michael (Karen) of Ontario.  Tom was predeceased by his infant son Sean.
