Yose "Cookie" Trickey
Newark"Cookie Trickey, 67, died on Friday (January 11, 2008) at Clifton Springs Hospital.
Friends may call on Monday (January 14th) from 4 to 8 PM at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Father Mark Brewer will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM on Tuesday (January 15th) at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.
Memorials in her name may be made to either the Upstate Chapter of Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1650 South Avenue, Suite 100, Rochester, New York 14620 or American Heart Association 2113 Chili Avenue, Rochester, New York 14624.
Mrs. Trickey was born on March 2, 1940 in Rochester, New York, the daughter of Ernest and Frances Cimino Persi. Cookie was a 1958 graduate of Jefferson High School in Rochester. Prior to raising her family, she worked at the Rochester Savings Bank. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Church. Cookie was a crafter operating Saratoga Scents at area shows and festivals.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, John T., five children John, Jr."JT" (Paula Burke) of Brighton, Jeanine (Steve) Grey of Honeoye Falls, Brett of Newark, Michelle (Michael) Hays of Macedon and Michael (Roxana) of Brighton, eight grandchildren, a brother Ernest (Marlene) Persi of Las Vegas, several nieces and nephews.
