Born and raised in Attica, New York, I am a graduate of the NYS Agriculture and Technical College at Alfred, NY, with an Associate's Degree in Agricultural Business. Honorably discharged from the US Army, I worked as Farm Employment Representative for the NYS Department of Employment in Rochester and Albion. Having a desire to become a funeral director, I graduated from Simmons School of Mortuary Science in 1961. I spent the next several years operating a funeral home and working for a hearse livery service in Western NY, and, in 1968, I purchased the Parker-Rayfield Funeral Home here in Newark.
